New Patient Consultation

  • This first appointment lasts between 45 minutes to an hour.

    • A full history of your general health and presenting problem.

    • A full clinical examination of the problem you present with.

    • A verbal report of findings and discussion about the diagnosis and treatment plan.

    • Your first treatment.

    • Advice and guidance on how to manage the condition at home.

    To make the most of your time with the chiropractor, be sure to fill out the new patient form before the appointment. You can access the form in the link provided in the confirmation email after booking.

Chiropractic Follow-Up Treatment

  • Follow-up appointments last between 20-30 minutes.

    • A brief catchup on progress since the last treatment.

    • Chiropractic treatment.

    • Advice and guidance on how to manage the condition at home.

    • Exercises and stretches if appropriate to supplement the treatment.

Double Appointment

  • Between 40-60 minutes.

  • If either you or the chiropractor feel that you need more time to fully address the condition you present with then a double appointment can be booked. This appointment lasts between 40-60 minutes and includes:

    • A brief catchup on progress since the last treatment.

    • Chiropractic treatment.

    • Advice and guidance on how to manage the condition at home.

    • Exercises and stretches if appropriate to supplement the treatment.

Reassessment

  • 30-45 minutes.

  • If it has been over a year since your last appointment at Shield Chiropractic, or if you have a new condition then it is important to undertake a reassessment. This appointment lasts between 30-45 minutes and includes:

    • An update on any new medical history

    • A history and examination of the new condition

    • Chiropractic treatment

    • Advice and guidance on how to manage the condition at home.

Shockwave Therapy

  • 30-45 minutes.

  • £90 for an individual treatment.

    £300 for a block of four treatments.


Fees are reviewed annually in January and any changes are implemented in April.

Late cancellation and no-show policy

If you do not attend your scheduled appointment a no-show charge of the full amount of the appointment fee will apply.

If you need to reschedule your appointment please give at least 24 hours’ notice. A late cancellation charge of 50% of the appointment fee will apply if less than 24 hours notice is given at the discretion of the practitioner.

These charges are at the discretion of the chiropractor.
